Coming from a small town in the Italian Alps, choosing to apply to St Patrick's Pontifical University was certainly not something common or expected. I had no ties whatsoever to Ireland; my new life there had to be built from scratch. All these experiences contributed to form me not only as a student, but mainly as a person. And it was this aspect, I believe, even more than any academic excellences, which made it possible for me to be accepted by Harvard Divinity School to attend a Masters in Theological Studies.

Maynooth is the perfect environment for the budding Theologian! Our unique, historic and beautiful campus is the ideal location for reflection and learning. Maynooth is Ireland’s only University town which means you can escape the hassle of long city commutes or you can use the handy bus and rail links to the Campus.
The Pontifical University has close links with the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. The two universities share the same campus (St Patrick’s Pontifical University being on the south campus) and co-operate in a number of important academic programmes. The campus is also the seat of the National Seminary.
During your time in Maynooth we will support and assist you in your life as a student.
We have a crèche on campus. Other supports include counselling, academic support, disability/access office, career development centre, and a medical centre.
International/Non-Eu applicants do not apply through the CAO. International/Non-Eu applicants must apply directly to the University. See link below for application form.
St Patrick’s Pontifical University is situated in one of Ireland’s most recognisable and beautiful locations. The Neo-Gothic architecture is evidence of the long and proud heritage. Higher education has taken place on this location for over 220 years. At the same time, there are a wealth of academic and technological resources on offer on our campus. As a small college, it is possible for a community atmosphere to thrive. Friends made here can be friends made for life.
