Monsignor Hugh Connolly, President of Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth is looking forward to some sabbatical leave for the academic year 2016 – 2017
The President of Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Monsignor Hugh Connolly, has advised the staff of the Faculty of Theology of his plans to take sabbatical leave for the academic year 2016 – 2017. Monsignor Connolly will remain as President until the completion of his statutory term in the summer of 2017 and he will continue to exercise some duties during the year. However he also intends to undertake theological studies in preparation for his return to the post of Professor of Moral Theology a position he occupied before assuming the Presidency. The Vice President, Rev Professor Michael Mullaney, will therefore serve as Acting President and will assume the day to day duties of President during the period of Monsignor Connolly’s sabbatical leave.
