Module Aims

Aims

  • To introduce students to the methods and sources of Catholic theology.
  • To understand the concepts of revelation, faith and reason and the relationship between them.
  • To explore the origin and development of the Christian concept of God.
  • To articulate a contemporary theological anthropology (including the concepts of creation, grace and sin).

Learning Outcomes

  • Explain what theology is and how it has developed as a discipline.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of faith, revelation, Trinity and grace.
  • Articulate the rudiments of a Christian theological anthropology.
