David Donoghue co-delivered the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a historic global plan to end poverty by 2030. Ahead of delivering the annual Trócaire Lenten Lecture on March 6th, he gives his thoughts on how to deliver this ambitious agreement.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) marked an historic agreement by the 196 countries to end poverty and put the work on a path to a sustainable development.

As the Permanent Representative of Ireland to the UN in New York, David co-facilitated, with Kenya, the UN negotiations that resulted in the SDGs on 2015.

In this talk, David will reflect upon the changing global context and whethere the commitment to 'leave no one behing' can be achieved.
