St Patrick’s College, Maynooth and Maynooth University has introduced a range of Traffic Management and Travel measures designed to ensure the use of our scarce parking resources by the College community in a safe and efficient manner.

We strongly advise that you only drive a car to the university if you need to i.e. if you have no alternative mode of transport. Parking spaces are limited in numbers and as such we ask that you think of others who have no alternative but to use their car to commute to the campus.

Drivers on campus grounds are expected to adhere to the speed limit and to be constantly vigilant of pedestrians at all times.

The University’s Traffic management and Parking Policy for the 2017/2018 academic year will come into operation on Monday 18th September 2017 to include Designated Permit Parking and Pay and Display. This applies to all car park spaces on both North and South Campus.

Enforcement of this policy will apply between 08.30-17.00 hours, Monday-Friday during term time, and on any other days at the discretion of St Patrick’s College/Maynooth University.

Permits will not be required during study weeks or exam periods. However, please note that APCOA will be patrolling on campus during study weeks, exam periods and outside of term time for dangerous, illegal and inappropriate parking and will penalise any offending vehicles found in breach of Maynooth Universities Traffic Management Policy.

The SPCM/ MU will not accept liability for any loss from or damage to any vehicle using the campus facilities, however caused. Users of the car parks do so entirely at their own risk and subject to this policy.
