Baptism Research Project

Cora O'Farrell (Mater Dei Centre for Catholic Education, DCU) and Jessie Rogers (St Patrick's College, Maynooth) are currently conducting research on Baptism.

This research project will explore how families who present their children for baptism in the Catholic Church in Ireland can be further encouraged. It seeks to use the principles and methods of Godly Play to support parents/caregivers to nurture their child’s spirituality leading up to, and beyond the celebration of Baptism. Phase 1 of the research will involve connecting with parents/caregivers and baptism team members.

If you are a parent/caregiver who recently had your child baptised (within the past two years), we would like to hear from you. We invite you to complete the following survey which takes less than 15 minutes to complete:

If you are a member of a Baptism Team, we would like to hear from you. We invite you to complete the following survey which takes less than 15 minutes to complete:

Thank you
