Dr Charlotte Methuen is Professor of Church History in the University of Glasgow. An Anglican priest and Canon, she is co-editor of Studies in Church History. She serves as a member of the Church of England’s Faith and Order Commission, as well as the Meissen Commission, the Anglican Lutheran International Commission, and the Inter-Anglican Standing Commission on Unity, Faith and Order. She recently co-edited Doubting Christianity: The Church and Doubt.

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin is a graduate of University College Dublin; Holy Cross College, Clonliffe; and the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome. He was ordained Archbishop of Dublin on 26 April 2004. He has served as Under-Secretary and Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and represented the Holy See as Permanent Observer at the United Nations. He is a co-moderator of the Joint Working Group between the Roman Catholic Church and the World Council of Churches.
